The oldest glass factory in history

Glass artifacts in ancient civilizations astonished archaeologists in the modern era, as they appeared for the first time in the period between 1000 and 1500 BC, in Mesopotamia – Iraq – and the Pharaonic civilization – Egypt. Although; throughout this period the method of manufacturing glass remained unknown, until the discovery of ceramic fragments in the Qantara region east of the Nile. After analyzing them, scientists succeeded in reconstructing their parts and concluded that they were used as melting vessels, and these results made scientists believe that they had found the remains of the oldest glass factory in history.
